Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card Offer
The Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card is a powerful tool for travelers who want flexibility, simplicity, and real value from their points. Between the current welcome offer and easy-to-use travel credits, it’s a card that can help take the stress out of planning your next adventure.

Why We Like It
For a limited time, new Capital One Venture cardholders get a one-time $250 Capital One Travel credit to use in their first year, in addition to the 75,000 miles bonus—making this deal even sweeter! Note that the $250 travel credit is a one-time benefit that can only be used for bookings made through the Capital One Travel portal. You can apply the entire amount towards one travel booking or split it up to use on several different travel purchases. It does not apply to any travel purchase charged to your card.
One of the most advertised cards out there is the Capital One Venture card. It is a solid card for free travel that is very easy to use. Venture miles are flexible because you can redeem the miles for anything deemed “travel” on your credit card statement. These miles may not be as valuable as Chase Ultimate Rewards, but they come in handy and can complement other reward redemptions.
This card earns 2 “miles” per dollar spent. When redeemed, each mile is worth 1 cent each toward travel when reimbursing yourself with miles. However, miles can also be transferred to airline and hotel partners, such as Air Canada Aeroplan, Air France/KLM Flying Blue, British Airways Avios, Choice Privileges and Wyndham Rewards – making your miles even more valuable. Lastly, you'll also receive up to $120 application fee credit for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck.
Update as of 10/27/25: You’re ineligible for a welcome bonus on the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card if you’ve received a bonus on the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card or the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card within the past 48 months.
You also have to wait 6 months in between applying for Capital One Credit Cards.
How I’ve Used Capital One Venture Miles
One of my favorite things about Capital One is its strong lineup of airline transfer partners. These miles are incredibly flexible, and provide a ton of options.
✈️ Virgin Atlantic
This is one of my favorite ways to redeem these points! Did you know you can book Delta flights through Virgin Atlantic because of their alliance? Not all Delta flights are available but when they are I love doing this even if the points needed are similar. I find Delta points are harder to accrue than Capital One miles because of that 2X multiplier on all purchases with the Capital One Venture Credit Card. Just head to the Virgin Atlantic sight, search for your flight and see if your Delta flight appear. Plus, sometimes there are some awesome bonuses on miles transferred from Capital One to Virgin Atlantic making it even cheaper.

Using Venture Miles for Disney Park Tickets
One of my favorite—and often overlooked—ways to use Capital One Venture miles is to help offset the cost of Disney park tickets. When you’re planning a Disney trip, those ticket prices add up quickly, so this can be a huge win for families.
There’s one key thing you need to know to make this work:
👉 Your ticket purchase must code as travel.
Once your purchase qualifies, using your miles is easy. Just log in to your Capital One account, click on your total miles, and select “Cover Travel Purchases.” This feature allows you to “erase” eligible travel charges by redeeming your Venture miles after the purchase posts.
Each Venture mile is worth 1 cent, meaning:
- 75,000 miles = $750 in travel expenses erased from your statement
How to Make Sure Your Disney Tickets Code as Travel
If you buy park tickets directly from Disney, the charge usually codes as entertainment, which means you won’t be able to erase it with Venture miles.
To get around this, you’ll want to purchase your tickets through a third-party ticket broker that codes as travel. We typically use Undercover Tourist, which has consistently coded as travel for us and makes it possible to cover those ticket costs with miles.
This strategy can be a game-changer for lowering the out-of-pocket cost of a Disney vacation—especially when you’re already using points and miles for flights and hotels.

Using the $250 Travel Credit
The $250 Capital One Travel credit is more versatile than many people realize. You can use it for:
- Boutique hotels you can’t book with traditional points
- Hotels in small town (helloooo kids sports!)
- Rental cars
- Inexpensive domestic flights
- One-way flights or short hops between destinations
One important tip: always check the refund policy before booking. I learned this the hard way after booking a nonrefundable hotel through Capital One Travel. When our plans changed, I lost the credit 😩. Lesson learned—read the terms before clicking “book.”

What to Know About Capital One Approvals
Capital One can be a little…quirky when it comes to approvals. Even with excellent credit, approval isn’t guaranteed—and unfortunately, they don’t offer reconsideration calls.
It often helps to apply for Capital One cards earlier in your points-and-miles journey, but keep in mind that this card does count toward Chase’s 5/24 rule, which is an important trade-off to consider.
It has been talked that freezing your Experian credit can help get you an approval. Learn all about freezing your credit here.
Bottom Line
The current Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card welcome offer is absolutely worth considering. This credit card has a forever spot in my wallet thanks to earning 2X on every purchase. It's the card I use for every purchase when I'm not working on a new sign up bonus.
Between flexible redemptions, valuable airline partners, and straightforward earning, Venture miles can truly take you almost anywhere—whether you’re dreaming of Europe, Asia, or somewhere closer to home.
